Jan Etzl, mayor of Chodov near Domažlice
We choose Sádlík suppliers primarily depending on people who represent them. And also according to human values which these representatives profess. We strive to convince our potential customers to find the time and come to see our family business first and only then decide from whom they buy their chairs and tables.
The mayor of the village Chodov near Domažlice did not hesitate to travel 450 km to become acquainted with the Sádlík operations in person. Only then he had the peace of mind to submit a proposal to the village council for the purchase of 300 chairs and 70 tables for the local cultural center. Mayor Jan Etzel is 72 years old. His responsible approach to decision-making in the interest of citizens is more than exemplary. And not only in the purchase of chairs and tables from Sádlík. He has been a mayor for 25 years.
We found Jan Etzel to be a highly interesting man and so we decided to create a portrait of the mayor, expressing the ideas he stands for: mayor for the people, people around the mayor, people behind the mayor, 25 years in office. We arranged a photo shoot with the leading Czech photographer Alexander Dobrovodský. This gave rise to photos that speak of essential human values with emotion.
